Friday's Find

I love garage sales but usually stay away from them, I already have a lot of stuff! But yesterday on the way into the cottage I spotted a sale going on and stopped. I've stopped last year at the same spot and found some wonderful items including a lovely old spindle high chair. Getting back to yesterdays find, I spotted this teapot as soon as I walked into the garage. Wow! I picked it up immediately looked at the price $8.00 and said I'll take it. I checked on  the internet I found it was made by Roseville Pottery in 1945 and is called Freesia Blue. I love the wonderful flowing lines, the colour and the flowers. Every time I look at it am so pleased that it now lives with me.

Home again and a new class

I'm not sure where the time has gone since I arrived home from a very successful trip to France & Italy. We had a wonderful time our friends and family could not have been nicer or more hospitable to us. Over the next few weeks I'll post some photos of our travels.

I started a new class call  Embellished edges given by the very talented Valerie Sjodin. If you have a chance to visit her website have a look at the wonderful journals that she has created.

I am still working on the edges and pages of the journal. Lots more painting needs to be done before I can declare the project finished! This class has been a challenge for me I have almost no experience using watercolours or for that matter lettering, but I'm enjoying the process!
